Personal Injuries

The firm of Templer & Hirsch is devoted to representing injured clients for all accidents.  Claims for Personal Injury may be as simple as a "strain" or as gravely traumatic as paralysis or death.  The characterization of an injury as "soft tissue" is inappropriate and non-descript.  Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and ruptured organs, ruptured spinal discs, Compartment Syndrome, torn ligaments or tendons, and even lacerations requiring stitches are all injuries without skeletal components.  Any injury must be evaluated in light of the individual and that person's lifestyle.

When injuries are inflicted upon a person due to the carelessness of another, the law refers to this as "negligence".  Damages that flow from this negligence may be awarded to the person affected.  Legal damages are the same as money, the only legal substitute for an injury.  Damages can be "economic" (past lost wages, diminished future earning capacity, medical expenses) or "human" (pain & suffering, disfigurement, scarring, mental anguish, diminished capacity for the enjoyment of life, etc...)

Personal Injury can occur in many different ways:  motor vehicle crashes: bike/scooter/motorcycle accidents: falldowns (trip or slip); at work (Worker's Compensation); from a product that has a dangerous component;  boating or jet-ski accidents; Medical Negligence; dock workers or Longshoremen claims; Defense Base Act (DBA) claims, where injuries may occur to contractors on US Military installations anywhere in the world;  etc...  Some kinds of injuries, or the way they were inflicted, have special rules that may not apply to other types of injuries.

Every person has the right to be free from being injured due to the carelessness of another.  This is true of Florida residents, tourists, visitors from other states and countries, and even undocumented aliens.

Templer & Hirsch has handled thousands upon thousands of injury claims, of all kinds, over their 33 years in practice.  Templer & Hirsch can help you too.  You are invited to call us for a FREE CONSULTATION.
